But, unfortunately, no number of thousands of dollars a week or regular massages can make up for a day-to-day life that is out of whack.
And mine was whacked.

My everyday life didn’t feel successful.
My husband was traveling for our business 7+ months out of the year and I was on my own with two young children while running our business…
Turns out, I didn’t really enjoy managing a team…
My health was suffering…
My brain was foggy…
I’d gained 50 pounds…
I was tied to my phone all day every day answer messages from my team…
I was up late trying to get work done, and so tired in the morning I could hardly get out of bed all day…
(Seriously, I’d tell the kids to bring me the milk and cereal in the morning so I could pour it for them in bed. Then I’d ask them to clean up the living room and take pictures of it with my phone to show me that it was done, before letting them watch videos on the iPad to give me a freaking break…I’m telling you, it was gnarly…)
I wasn’t getting the emotional attunement I so craved.
Sex with my husband was good — when it happened every other month or so…
