The Social Change Petition Site You Should Know About

I started an email to tell the people in my circles about Change.org, and then it occurred to me that maybe it would be helpful for people beyond my email circle to know about it, so here you have it…
If you haven’t heard of it, Change.org is a powerful site where anyone can start petitions to advocate for social change/justice at a local or national level. Over the past year, it’s one ridiculously easy way that I have been active in promoting causes I believe in.
No, it’s not enough to JUST sign petitions, I’m also having conversations with other white people about racism, doing the inner work, and giving money when I can but, yes, it’s better than doing nothing.
I just got this email from them and while it is a clear ego-stroke-for-the-sake-of-fundraising-that-worked-and-I-just-signed-up-to-donate-$5-a-month-because-of-it, I believe them when they say I am one of the more active users on the site. It occurred to me that if you don’t already know about it, it’s a good way for you to support social and personal causes you believe in, too. I have no affiliation with them besides using their one-click service to sign petitions and I had no idea they only employed 14 people, so this email made me want to support…
